The SOBA Bench Hand Plane. The  features include soles and sides that are machined flat and Ground, lightly finished hardwood handles.

It features a heavy, stress-relieved ductile iron castings, fully machined adjustable frogs, and high carbon steel blades.
 
Premium Hand  planes based on Bailey Design are offered with 3 mm thick blades, these are made of High carbon steel blades are  hardened and ground . Each blade hardness is checked before fitting on the hand plane.

The Mechanism requires the removal of frog, cap iron and cutting iron to reduce mouth opening, the frogs are machined. Frogs can be replaced in case there is damage to them while fittings.
