The size of this plane is ideally suited for light work such as furniture joinery like shoulders, rabbets, grooves and tenons, and trimming. The brass lever cap is designed for a better grip and support to the blade. The mouth adjustment screw can adjust the mouth when turned in and also when turned out allowing better chip clearance. Body is made of ductile cast iron precision ground and flat sole to precise tolerances. Blade is hardened.
